WHO I AM
AND WHY IT MATTERS

I'm Andreas Setzer. I've been an activist most of my adult life and spent 20 years in management in an international corporations. Since 2015, I've worked with 40+ nonprofits and social impact organizations across Europe, North America, Latin America, India, and Asia.
That combination - knowing how large organizations think and knowing what movements actually need - is what I bring to this work.

TWO WORLDS.
ONE PRACTICE.

Being an activist and knowing how large organizations work are usually two separate worlds. I've lived in both. I understand the dynamics that make institutions effective — and the ones that make them corrupt. I understand what movements need to sustain the fight — and what quietly kills them. That's the lens I bring to every engagement.

DEALING WITH THE
ELEPHANT IN YOUR ROOM

I exclusively work with nonprofits or social impact organizations that have a real stake in winning. Not in being seen to try. The problems are structural, the solutions require honesty, and the work is often uncomfortable. That's what I'm here for.

AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

I work with the whole system — not just the visible problem. A communication breakdown is usually a structural issue. A leadership failure is usually a culture problem. I work across all of it: strategy, structure, processes, culture, leadership, and how they interact. I don't run isolated workshops and leave. I stay in it with you until the change holds.

INDEPENDENT. THAT'S NOT A SELLING POINT. IT'S THE PRECONDITION.

There are consultants and coaches who work for free. Their fee is paid by a third party — a foundation, a sponsor, an institutional funder. That arrangement works for someone. It doesn't work for you. When a consultant is funded externally, their accountability isn't solely to you — whether anyone acknowledges it or not. I work exclusively on direct contracts. You pay me, I work for you. That's the only arrangement I operate under. It's also why the work can be brutally honest. Learn more about my approach.
